GLORY DAYS

Standing in the summer haze
the ever shining incandescent star
caught my gaze
as i saw it
i remembered those days
when we all shown bright
engulfing all the darkness
with our insight

the ineffable joys
now come back as memories
and how i wish i could
have stopped the inevitable

tears roll down
as i think of those
mindless giggles
those innocent demeanors

now all a thing of past
long lost and gone
